Jon Otterberg

Jon brings over 25 years of experience in delivering operating and financial performance improvement to companies, both in the executive and financial advisor roles. Prior to joining American Postal Infrastructure Partners in 2020, Jon held the positions of President and CFO at Sears Auto Centers, ITS ConGlobal and Neebo, Inc., respectively. As the President and CFO at Sears Auto Centers, he created the successful DieHard tire, launched the industry-first tire install relationship with Amazon and oversaw the DieHard Auto Center expansion. In addition to his C-level roles, he spent 10 years as an operating and performance improvement advisor, most notably at AlixPartners LLC. He began his career as a corporate and investment banker.

Max leads the finance and accounting operations for API and brings over 14 years of progressive real estate finance and accounting experience. Prior to joining API, Max was CFO at Tricap Residential Group, a real estate investment firm that specialized in value-add multifamily and a finance leader at Heitman LLC, a global real estate investment management firm. Max began his career as an auditor at RSM US LLP (formerly McGladrey LLP) focusing on the real estate industry. In addition to leading the finance and accounting teams, his experience covers valuations, banking, tax and investor relations. Max has earned both his CPA license and CFA designation.

Scott brings over 20 years of experience in business development and financial management in the telecom and commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining American Postal Infrastructure Partners, Scott spent 21 years with American Tower Corporation in multiple leadership roles. Most recently, as Regional Vice President for American Tower’s East Region, Scott was responsible for a $1B+ revenue budget, new business development and asset management for the eastern half of the U.S. During his tenure, Scott played an important role in the growth of American Tower from a small cap start-up to the world’s largest publicly traded REIT. He brings a passion for developing strong business partnerships and value creation. Scott began his career in new business development in the wireless industry with Ameritech Cellular in Chicago.

Brian Sherman

Brian oversees the day-to-day property and asset management activities. Prior to joining American Postal, Brian spent 9 years as a Commercial Property Manager for Sunshine Management Corp., where he managed over 200 properties. Brian has extensive experience in writing leases, lease negotiation and service agreements. He is also skilled in asset management, and carries expertise in property and project management, capital investment projects, value-add initiatives and construction contracting. Prior to asset management, he worked as a real estate agent and strategic account manager. He holds active real estate licenses in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and is an expert at Costar, Loopnet, & MLS.

Robert is responsible for managing the property portfolio and partnering with the USPS.  He has been in the non-profit industry for the past 12 years, most recently as General Manager of hotel facilities that provided services for families with loved ones undergoing medical procedures.    Prior to this, Robert was IT Manager for The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command, where he provided IT leadership for this $29 million non-profit for 5 years.  He also was Operations Director for The Salvation Army’s largest residential substance-abuse facility in Washington DC. Robert’s management of this 64,000 square foot facility led to significant profit improvement from both revenue increases and strategically negotiating vendor contracts.

Sophia joined our Asset Management team located Maryland in September 2022. Prior to coming to API, she was a Customer Service Manager at Middletown Valley Bank. Her role consisted of opening personal and business accounts, inputting loan applications, assisting with teller related transactions and helping customers with any of their banking needs. She is originally from Central Pennsylvania. Before having her two children, she was employed as a Corrections Officer at a local county jail. She’s lived in PA, MD, VA and made her way back to PA where she resides in Greencastle. She enjoys spending time with close friends and loved ones, going to the beach any chance she gets, and looks forward to crossing items off her bucket list.

Nurija Redzic currently serves as an accountant at American Postal Infrastructure. Most recently, Nurija worked as a junior accountant at Reliant Realty Services, a property management company. During her time at Reliant Realty, Nurija was primarily responsible for handling large-volumes of accounts payable, petty cash recordation, cash management and payroll for over 150 employees. Nurija is currently continuing her education by pursuing a master’s degree in taxation at Baruch College.

Brian first joined American Postal in July of 2021 as an intern and now currently serves as an Accountant. As an intern at American Postal, Brian assisted with the accounts payable process, bank reconciliations, and creating reports for financial analysis. Prior to joining American Postal, Brian was a finance intern at Maimonides Medical Center and also served as a safety coordinator at Cavan Builders ensuring that New York’s construction safety standards and rules were met and followed. Brian recently graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and plans on continuing his education at Baruch College by enrolling in a Master of Business Analytics program.

Shawn is responsible for driving our investments in postal properties nationwide. He works closely with private postal owners and firmly believes in strengthening the USPS infrastructure throughout major cities and rural America. He brings 20 years of sales and marketing success within a variety of industries including consumer electronics, retail and higher education. As National Account Manager at Cedar Electronics, he was instrumental in account turnaround while increasing sales by more than 25% in his first year. Shawn also led the sales team at Briggshaw, Inc. In his free time, Shawn enjoys obstacle racing, working out and watching the Buffalo Bills.

Brian joins American Postal Infrastructure Partners having spent the past 10+ years in the wireless real estate industry with American Tower Corporation. In his time with American Tower, Brian was continually recognized for his ability to develop long lasting partnerships and for his creativity in developing mutually beneficial business agreements.  At American Tower Brian excelled at working with the major national carriers to help expand their wireless networks and played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s asset portfolio of owned and managed sites across the United States.  During his tenure, Brian was regarded for his performance and for his leadership while playing a meaningful role in growing the company’s asset base and revenue.

 

Brian brings his leadership and talent for professional development to American Postal where he leads our team of Acquisitions Managers as they look to identify new opportunities for capital investment in postal properties.

Colin is focused on growing our Single Site and Small Portfolio market segment. He brings 18 years of entrepreneurship and commercial real estate experience. He owned Interstate Auto Auction® (IAA), a dealer-only vehicle facility. IAA sponsored three auto racing teams and the Indy Fuel – Chicago Blackhawks minor league hockey. His experience with notable firms such as Scannell Properties included regional asset management, build-to-suit, and acquisitions. Other accomplishments include completing a full marathon and securing a United States Utility Patent. He has his Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, an MBA from Cal University Irvine, and is currently pursuing a second Masters from the University of Miami.

Mike is focused on growing our portfolio in the Single Site and Small Portfolio market segment. He has experience as a Dealer Account Manager at FP-USA, a 3rd party vendor of USPS postage and mailing products. Mike was also welcomed into the Pinnacle Club while in the role of Digital Inside Sales Manager at Scholastic.In his time at Scholastic, Mike was recognized for his performance and customer satisfaction. In his spare time, Mike loves spending time with his kids and watching them participate in competitive sports such as golf, lacrosse, ice hockey and volleyball. Mike also enjoys coaching youth sports and volunteering in his community. He is an avid fan of the Bears, Cubs and the University of Kansas, where his daughter is a recent graduate. Mike has his Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University with a Major in Mass Communication and a Minor in Political Science.

Before joining American Postal Infrastructure, Joel was a Regional Account Manager for a major US Safety provider. Joel also has previous experience in the home improvement industry as well as online payroll platforms. Joel is a 2014 graduate of DePaul University. When Joel is not working, he enjoys spending time with his dog- Griffin (G), working out and watching sports, specifically the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Joel is also an avid INDYCAR fan and has attended the Indy 500 since he was a child.

Dylan works closely with the acquisitions team to analyze properties and ensure we are paying top dollar for post offices using our proprietary financial model. He also manages due diligence processes for some of our properties. Before joining API, Dylan was an intern at Discovery Capital interacting with all aspects of the hedge fund industry. Prior to Discovery Capital, he interned at SuperWorld, a web3 company where he did business development and financial analysis. He is a fan of the New York Yankees and Oakland A’s. In his spare time he loves being on the lake, hanging with friends, and doing research about blockchain applications.

Tom joined API in July 2021 and is responsible for working with the USPS and the local communities to bring enhancements to the properties to benefit the community and the environment. This includes overseeing all construction and development as well as working with various partners as we envision the post office of the future.

 

He is also the Managing Principal and Founder of XCeed Commercial Real Estate, a development company specializing in tenant-driven freestanding, build-to-suit facilities for retail, restaurant, medical, education and industrial clients nationwide. Prior to forming XCeed, Tom co-founded Paragon Real Estate, where he managed the real estate development and construction operations for a portfolio of retail and senior living properties. He was also responsible for raising equity and debt while tailoring a real estate investment strategy to the needs and risks metrics of Paragon’s investment group.

 

Tom received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.

Susan joined American Postal in May of 2021 and assists the company with marketing and acquisitions initiatives. She has a strong background in sales analytics, merchandising, category management, and consumer market research. She previously managed over $30 million in retail sales while working in New Business Development at OfficeMax, achieving double digit sales growth for her client for 4 years in a row. In more recent years, Susan built a multi-million dollar wellness business through social media marketing while at home with her young children. She values family time, fitness, faith, and fun.
